Shannon Meehan, LMSW

Shannon Meehan headshot

Shannon Meehan is a psychodynamic psychotherapist who works with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, and significant life transitions. She has particular experience working with professionals and creative individuals who struggle with burnout, creative blocks, and recurring patterns that interfere with their personal and professional lives.

Shannon approaches psychotherapy as an opportunity to explore the underlying emotional experiences and patterns that shape how people understand themselves and relate to others. Through attentive listening, thoughtful reflection, and a collaborative therapeutic relationship, she helps clients develop greater insight, recognize longstanding patterns, and discover new possibilities for change.

Her work is informed by psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-focused approaches. She aims to create an environment in which clients feel heard and supported while exploring difficult experiences, internal conflicts, and the ways their histories influence their present lives.

Shannon earned her Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She offers therapy in English and Spanish, both in person and virtually.

You can contact Shannon directly at shannonmeehan.therapy@gmail.com.
